How do you switch itune music from a Mac Os9 to an Windows XP?

I have a lot of music on my mac, and when I try to switch it over to my windows it isn’t compatible.
I need to switch to get things on my mp3 player for long car drives.
Don’t have money to bring it in right now.
Any ideas?

If your Mac has USB ports, get a cheap flash drive and copy everything over that way. Unfortunately, since you’re on Mac OS 9, there’s no other easy way to copy stuff from Mac to PC without spending money on software for either machine (Thursby Software’s DAVE would give Mac OS 9 the Windows networking protocals, or MacDrive for Windows and a firewire card would give the PC the ability to read your Mac’s hard drive without even pulling it out of the Mac).

Also, you may want to look into getting a copy of OS X for your Mac; you can find older versions on eBay and at various online Mac parts stores.

How do I find the uninstall Skype on my iBook G4 laptop?

I have an iBook G4 laptop — I cannot find a control panel where I can uninstall Skype. I have looked under File, Edit, View, History, Bookmarks, Tools, Window & Help. I am using Firefox. I made a mistake when installing Skype and I can neither uninstall it or correct it — I cannot even get past the sign in because they do not recognize my e-mail —— frustrating.

could i use the mac os x install dvd from my new macbook pro computer on my old macbook that has os x tiger?

i bought the brand new macbook pro with the new leopard install dvd. can i put it in my old macbook with tiger and will the os be updated

By now, you should have already tried it. What happened? Did it give you a message that it can’t install on this computer? Well, it will. Although the DVD has a Leopard installer, it doesn’t include drivers for your MacBook. It will only work with a new MacBook Pro (maybe with a new MacBook). The installer checks for hardware that matches the drivers on the DVD. Apple doesn’t want to end up seeing this DVD copied and sold for a dollar each to a hundred other folks, the way it is for a Windows XP disc.

A retail version of the Leopard DVD has drivers for all current and older Macs that meet the requirements for Leopard.

How many tiger barbs could I put in a 30 gallon tank?

I want to get a 30 gallon tank and put some cool fish so I think some tiger barbs would be nice. How many could I put? Could I use an under gravel filter for them? Can I use fake plants? How many plants? Do they eat plants? Thanks!
What kind of flake food would I give them, only meat based or normal flakes? And how often could I feed them baby brine shrimp?

This is a fine size for tiger barbs. If you’re looking to house just tiger barbs (highly recommended) you could keep about 12-15 of them in here. Don’t let their current small size fool you, a they get to about 3" when fully grown.

Undergravel filters are dinosaurs of the filter world, and are outdated except in specific applications. Get a nice hang-on power filter, like an AquaClear 50. Be sure you have a heater.

Fake plants are fine. They are also safe with live plants. They appreciate the cover, but also need some open space, so try to put a group of plants on each side of the tank, and then some along the back, leaving the front open for swimming space.

How can i update my macbook OS9.2-Os 10?

I have a mac power book G3 and it ahs operating system 9.2, i want to upgrade it to the new looking operating system, i wanna make it look cool :), but i dont knwo how this is my first mac book.

My best guess is your Mac is just too old for Leopard, but OS X Tiger 10.4 may run. You might find it on eBay.

Failing that, you are stuck with 9.2. It IS nearly 5 years old.

how do I start up my powerbook G4, after installing a new hard drive?

when I turn it on all it does is show a question mark in the middle of the screen… it ran fine when I took out the old one… the one I put in is brand new, and it is the proper one for my powerbook G4… I need some help… what should I do ?

You should install the proper Mac Operating System on the drive.

That is a blank drive. There is no operating system on it. There was one installed on the old drive… that was why it worked like you are expecting.

So, either find the Operating System discs that came with the computer, or contact Apple and order new ones.

Is there a way to run Mac OS 9 games on the OS X platform?

I have just purchased Civilization: Call to Power for Macintosh only to have it delivered and find out that I need classic support to run it. Mac OS 9 isn’t up for legal download and I’m getting rather frustrated. Can I run Civilization on OS X Tiger with a patch or other program?

Not under modern OS X I don’t believe. I have OS 9 on my old iBook. You can buy an OS 9 disk off of eBay or Amazon if you look for maybe $15-30

And check the manufacturer site to see if they made a patch for the game or not just to be sure

I really liked Gatorade Tiger so I really hope it does come back. How long might this take and which of Gatorade’s contracted athletes might do the endorsing?

How can I make my PowerBook G4 run faster?

I have a PowerBook G4 10.4.11 that I bought used. Its great but I notice that it can run slower than, say a Gateway PC, when its loading videos. And the video quality is grainy or "noisy." Do I need to update Flash or Quicktime? Honestly I don’t even know what either of those programs do. And I also am ignorant as to if I have Leopard or Tiger or whatever. Help!

how high can you update apple macintosh performa 600 software?

Because it only supports floppy discs.

So how high can the apple os software be instaled in the performa 600?

That’s an ancient and venerable machine and I doubt it is capable of supporting anything past Mac System 7, possibly System 8. It certainly will not be able to support any of the modern Mac OS, especially OS X
