    pretty much, you can do the internet email and word processing, also use itunes to listen to music. just dont expect it to be super fast, or play youtube videos very well.

    Give some ram to this baby, the usability of these machines is really really depends on the ram. This baby can run soo fine with the maximum ram. And this little machine can become somebody’s every day computer, if that somebody doesnt want to play games on it.

    i have a 600MHZ with 640MB of ram

    and it can run itunes, over 30 safari windows, ichat, iphoto together and it run’s very fast.

    i am very pleased with it.
    i think his ibook has something wrong with it.

    ehhh, Mine doesnt have problems like yours, its cause your friends is really bad no offense cause I love the ibook. But mines 30gb 900MHz 640 MB Ram. Im always on ichat itunes youtube and mutiple sites and not 1 ounce of lag.

    i use a g3 dual usb …
    i use a g3 dual usb 500 MHz 320 ram 20 gig hd
    osx 3.9 as my main computer i take it all over the place and it runs great could not be happier
    got it online for 170$ with osx on it

    I have a 12″ inch g3 also it has a 20 gig hardrive 700mhz and 640mg of ram i think thats pretty good right?
