    thejon128 is right you`ll need a g4 bottom casing (even the plastics fit differently than the G3) and a G4 ibook inverter cable (inverter is the part that lights up the display, the part itself is the same as the G3 but the cable that goes from it to the motherboard is different). i`ve done the same thing when my G3 ibook motherboard died and it worked.

    i bought i G3 (it looks the same as the G4) and i thought you could install leopard on it but then when i got it i found out you cant you need a G4 processor over 856Mhz and mine is a G3 processor with 700Mhz so im going to buy a logic board off ebay for £135 which has a G4 processor with 1200Mhz which is powerful and im going to buy 1Gb Ram as well so i can get leopard on it but im a bit nerves striping my mac down to the logic board because im not sure on how to do it but i can have a go :D
