Man… i was a hardcore, self-chosen and pretty self-assured agnostic… i listened to that lecture and 29 minutes and 22 seconds later… well now i’m an atheist.

wth dude! haha how did he do that?!?! I just can’t reject his reasoning. There’s no flaws to it… there’s no reason for me to say I’m agnostic anymore.

idk. i’m still in shock haha. here’s some stuff from the lecture

"No, I don’t know that atheists should be considered citizens, nor should they be considered patriots. This is one nation under God."

-George Bush, Sr 1987

"In every country and in every age, the priest has been hostile to liberty"

- Thomas Jefferson

"We’re all atheists about most of the Gods that humanity has ever believed in; some of us just go one God further"
Richard Dawkins

‘He begins this speech… by explaining how science works through the testing of hypothesis that have been framed to be vulnerable to disprove"Religion doesn’t seem to work like that. it has certain ideas at the heart of it that we call sacred or holy. What it means is: here we have the idea or notion that you’re not allowed to say anything bad about. You’re just not.. why not? because your not. why should it be that its perfectly legitimate to support the republicans or democrats… macintosh vs. windows, but to have an opinion about how the universe began, about who created the universe, no, thats holy. So we’re used to not challenging religious ideas… everybody gets absolutely frantic about it because you’re not allowed to say anything … because we’ve silently agreed you’re not allowed to say anything about it." ‘

secondary quote by Douglas Adams
primary quote by Richard Dawkins.

By the time he got to this part I was already won over haha, but this is the quote that motivated this question

"Many of you probably subscribe to our polite cultural belief that we should respect religion, but I also suspect that a fair number of those secretly despise religion as much as i do. If you’re one of them, i’m asking you to stop being polite, come out and say so."

I’m an atheist now.

Anyway, check out the video if you got some spare time. tell me what u think. All views are welcome, just be civil.
haha, nice video first person, but it doesn’t quite work. Science proves Dawkins, but it does not prove God. I believe in science. So you’ll have to convince me science is bad.

It works for you right? Faith proves God. I have to prove to you faith is bad :]

On my side, however, is that Logic can help you to arrive at answers. Faith will not tell you what order to put ur clothes on (undies first!)

idk wat the second person is talking about but thumbs up for uniqueness lmao

I’ll bet it doesn’t compare with the scientific information in the DVDs about how the banana is God’s intelligently designed fruit, does it? Could Man’s technology wrap up such tasty goodness so well? Like to see the factory that can do that! And just look at the shape of the banana - yep, fits perfectly into our Adam-like palms! Thanks very much for your video of "information" but the banana has already got me convinced just fine!

Bananas are an excellent source of potassium, and they help to keep us "regular"…and that’s just God thinking ahead!
