How do I set me wireless setting in for my AirLink101 300N Wireless Router from my Mac?

September 24th, 2009 | by admin |

According to its description AirLink101 300N Wireless Router (AR680W) supports Apple Macintosh. However, I cannot even login with the supplied username and password (both being "admin".) I can use the wired router without any problem. However, I cannot login to the router from 192.168.1.1; it gives me a "Login Error" of "Invalid user name or password, please check it then click blow button" (and yes, that’s not a typo, and the button bellow is a [Return] button. Their website does not have adequate support or any software that I can download, while the software that came with the CD is only for Windows. Any idea how I can start using my wireless feature from my router with my Mac? Thanks in advanced.
I have a couple of laptops running 10.4.11. The reason I want to set up in my router is so that I can customize the security, network name, MAC address authentication, logs, content filtering, and a few others. So, it’s not a matter of a laptop finding a wireless network; rather setting up the wireless feature of the router itself.

As it is right now, I cannot even login to the router (192.168.1.1) with the provided username and password ("admin" for both.) Any idea?
FYI, I’ve been solving Mac problem since 1992. :)
On your Mac go to System Prefs>Network>show airMac.

All Macs are compatible with ALL standard Wireless protocols so you don’t need to download any software.

If necessary go to Configure network port configurations.

Which version of OS X are you running?
