How can I run Mac OS X Tiger on Vista?
October 24th, 2009 | by admin |I bought an iBook G4 which came with Tiger 10.4. I would like to install this software on my windows Intel PC. How can I do it? If it is possible please help me with the steps.
Ok, first off, you don’t run Tiger on Vista. Vista is an operating system, just like Tiger is an operating system. You run an operating system on your computer. PCs aren’t confined to only running Windows and Macs aren’t confined to only running OS X, so you can’t refer to a machine by its operating system.
Second, no, you can’t legally install Tiger on your PC, and even if you tried it wouldn’t work unless you made (or downloaded) a patched install disc. You can install Linux or Solaris on your PC (which are both free UNIX-based operating systems), but OS X is only designed to run on Apple hardware.
If you still want to try it, though, google "OSx86 project" for more info.

It may be technically doable depending on your PC hardware’s components. It’s not easy though. It’s definitely a case where "your mileage may vary." Check http://wiki.osx86project.org/wiki/index.php/Main_Page and review the HCL information there.
