umm well the C …
umm well the C drive is probably the Windows partition.. but get back on your windows real quick and check how much space is left in C and in D. If C has windows files on it and such, use D. If D has the files, use C

and i did about 20GB just do more u dont want to do less tho because u dont get much space that way..

i only responded to THIS message because I didnt want this guy/girl to ruin their Windows partition..

or SHRINk C

And what number did u put for your hard drive section .. ?

I am going to try …
I am going to try this, I have tried XP black,, and about 10 other open-source OS’s and vista black is on the DL right now,,,I also have run windows 7 as a dual boot,,, but this seems to be safe for my laptop because I have an inspiron 6400 and it seems that most ppl on youtube have these and dual boot numerous OS’s as I have and it still runs flawlessly, with vista basic…but I have been thinking about a permanent change.

looks the same in most ways uses 1/2 the space to install and runs much much faster!

you’re right, my bad. as it is i uninstalled and destroyed my copies of kalyway (which didnt work) and leo4allv2 because i didn’t want to have to deal with all of the bugs that exist after an install on my particular laptop. its not worth it for most people.

no either you have …
no either you have to use an install disk that you got with a mac (which according to the end users license agreement is against the law) or download a pirated copy also illegal

ye, i’m in the same …
ye, i’m in the same boat. To be honest i think many people are. Mac’s are too expensive for the average person. Maybe one day i will take the plunge but you can get a pc with the same hardware for 200% less. Granted it won’t be as good quality, but for now i think i will stick to pc’s with a mac os installed alongside windows 7

i agree, people …
i agree, people were expecting some radical unexpected change to the whole windows thingy like when 98 became xp. it’s more like people are disappointed that vista is similar to xp i think. theres no difference in the number of errors and both run programs and open documents with the same performance. i have a feeling i’m gunna go for this dual boot thingy though because i won’t be able to afford a mac any time soon and i only bought my tx2000 less than a year ago

windows 7 uses much …
windows 7 uses much less resources than windows 7.
i like the toolbar more than vista too.
there are many other things that are good about it too…
so far its much better than vista, but there never was anything that bad about vista like people said there was

actually, it is, by bad. its only illegal if you use an os x cd. if you use iAtkos or Kalyway it’s legal

umm i partitioned …
umm i partitioned the drive the same as u did and its coming up as a logical drive and that wont allow me to do anything else
