When I start up my mbp (OS X Tiger) before the Apple logo shows up, a folder with a question mark shows up.?
December 6th, 2009 | by admin |How do I prevent the folder from showing up?
If it eventually boots, go to system preferences and in startup disk, select your hard drive.
IF it doesn’t boot, put your install disc in and at the welcome screen… run your mouse to the top. Under the Utilities menu select disk utilities. In Disk utilities select your hard drive and click on repair.
reboot and see it it boots.
If it doesn’t.. there’s likely a hard drive problem.
