how come mac os x wont work even after i install it and it says installation complete?

so , it says your installation is complete and you need to restart the laptop , so i do and it asks me agaain to install mac os x agaain and ive done it three times and still it wont work ! whats wrong with it ? &how do i fix it so it will work?

Eject the installation DVD before rebooting.

    Did you boot the computer up with the disc in the cdrom drive. You can’t install it from within the operating system. Are you installing it on a MAC or trying to put it on a PC. Check the disc to make sure it has no smudges on it from your fingers. It needs to be clean or it creates a defective install.
