Should I get a stand for my MacBook and get a mini DVI converter to run it on an external monitor?

I much prefer to use the OS10.5 operating system over my Gateway machine running Windows XPME. My macbook outperforms my Gateway tower drastically.
My question to yahoo…
Should I just run the MacBook through to an external monitor?
Is it worth the 20 dollars I’m gonna spend on the cable if I do?
And also, will I need an external fan to set it on top of?

Yes, It is very worth it so buy the adapter and connect your mac to the monitor. You don’t need to get a stand if you are just going to use one screen. If you are using dual screens it is better to get the stand for the mac. If you are going to use your mac for long periods of time, you should invest in some type of cooler to keep it colder as it run quite hot. Also, If you only use the single screen setup, immediately after you pess he power button on your mac, close the lid and the mac will use the external monitor as he default screen.
