Why does my solitaire move jerky?

October 26th, 2009 | by admin |

My Mac OS10 is quite old (maybe 6 years) but works pretty well for what I want. The only thing that really annoys me is when I play solitaire, the really really simple kind where you move playing cards around, the cursor doesn’t "grab" on very well and when it does, it does not move smoothly. It’s worse some days than others. What causes this and how can I fix it?

The jerkiness could be the result of a lack of storage space. Try deleting some files you do not need. Another problem could be the software. A solitaire game written in the C++ programming language would move more smoothly and quickly than a game written in say a language like Visual Basic. You might try downloading different solitaire games and see which one works best. Some links where you can download free solitaire can be found at http://www.solitaireinnovations.com/links.html.
