Let me explain, … Let me explain, this is encrypting files, not file systems. And that Disk Utility trick is not built into the mac, well it is, but it’s not part of finder. And that is not encrypting a folder at all, it is creating a fake hard drive that is encrypted. So don’t call it a folder, get it right.
Thanks for the … Thanks for the video. But you CAN encrypt in OS X, and in fact create an encrypted folder. The way to do it is by creating an encrypted disk image through Disk Utility, set up your password, etc., and then copy to it the files you want protected. You double-click on the .sparseimage file and enter your password; it mounts and then you add your files. Unmount it, and the files are protected again. Need to add more files? Mount it, enter your password, add files; then unmount to protect them, etc.
Mac os9 was a piece … Mac os9 was a piece of , (lets be honest) I use to hate apple back in those days, of course now I have made the switch, OSX is amazing, def better than windows.
it should already … it should already have OS X on right?
if so, download sheepshaver and an ISO image of OS 9 (probably 9.2)
that’s if you got an Intel iMac of course, if it’s PPC, no chance.
