Run Mac OS 9 on your Intel Mac (+ Download)
June 28th, 2009 | by admin |
DOWNLOAD THE INSTALLER HERE:
This is SheepShaver running with Mac OS 9 on my MacBook Pro. It’s very useful for running older games and software. The entire setup came as an installer package which can be downloaded here:
http://rapidshare.com/files/126637552/COI__Classic-On-Intel____SheepShaver.zip
(Just click on free download and type in the captcha. The download should begin shortly after. There is no password)
Included in this download are complete installation and operation instructions.
Feel free to message me or leave a comment if you have any questions.
Enjoy!
(PS: sorry for the crappy screen capturing!)

Ha. No. Other …
Ha. No. Other applications may run slower while you’re running OS 9 at the same time, and it MAY even crash once in a while, but that’s just the application. The only way it would ruin your iMac is if it contained a virus…WHICH IT DOESN’T. lol

Yes, I have used it …
Yes, I have used it in full screen and have also encountered those bars. What you have to do (if a remember correctly) is either to change the resolution or change the color setting from ‘thousands of colors’ to ‘millions of colors’ in OS9.

have you been able …
have you been able to use the emulator on full screen? I tried it with BasiliskII and SheepShaver on a Mac, but BasiliskII froze and SheepShaver had these strange colors and bars moving around the screen, as if it was using an unsupported video mode and having problems. Also, I used OS X disk images to pass programs to OS9, but the images kept getting unreadable on OS X. I stopped using Basilisk II because it was ridiculous to use Disk Utility to fix or make an image every time I use OS9.
