Is it possible to run Mac OSX on a Netbook?
December 8th, 2009 | by admin |Ok, this is just a stupid question, but it’s a burning one. I want to know if it’s possible in any way to run Mac OSX on a Dell inspiron Mini (Basically, a netbook). It has 1 GB of RAM, and 110 gigs of hard disk space.
I’m not saying that I will do it, but I just want to know if it’s at all possible.
It is possible depending on which mini you have. The Dell Mini 9 is one of the most compatible netbooks that can run mac. My friend has one running it with his Mini 9. As far as I know the Dell 10 and 12 can’t because there are no available drivers for its built-in graphics.
Here’s a compatibility chart.

Hope this helps.
Gizmodo even has a tutorial.

As far as I know, it is possible to run Mac OSX on Dell Inspiron Mini 9, but it’s not easy. And Apple prohibits users from installing Mac OSX on non-apple hardware. If you do that, you are violating that rule.
