Is there any way to uninstall Mac OSX and install windows?
December 24th, 2009 | by admin |I have an apple eMac 1.42 ghz, 1gb of ram, 80 gb hdd and I’m tired of almost nothing being compatible with this OS. It’s running OSX 10.3 and I’m trying to get Windows XP or maybe Windows 7. Please post every way I can do this.
The reason nothing is compatible is because the system you are using is so old.
The mac you have is not intel based, so all modern mac apps and OS will not run on your system.
You cannot instal any version of windows on your computer because it is PPC based, not intel based.

As was pointed out, your computer is not Intel based. You can install Virtual PC, which will run windows at a reduced speed. You might be able to find it really cheap, as Virtual PC is discontinued. Give eBay a try or ask at your local Mac users group if anyone has a copy they can give to you for free.
