PART ONE!
Running 10.5.6 updated from 10.5.0 Upgrade DVD from a now dead MacBook Pro of mine.
This method should work with 10.5.0, 10.5.1, 10.5.4 and 10.5.6 Retail DVDs.
Obviously if you use the 10.5.6 Retail DVD - you will not need to run the 10.5.6 Combo Update.

if you instal osx on a laptop, will you be able to scroll like you do on a mac, like the 2 fingers.

Just for the future …
Just for the future people who come here, I have a Compaq Mini 110-1001NR running F.07 and this worked perfectly.
Also I did it with an 8GB thumb drive with 10.5.6 and it worked perfectly, a little slower this his drive but space wasn’t a problem.
6.1 GB for OS and about 70mb for the programs he uses.
