Is the Black panther tattoo very common in the Army?

I never personally seen one before, but a lot people say many soldiers in the Army have black panther tattoo. Is it because the meaning behind the black panther (strong, aggressive…) or does it have anything to do with 505th Infantry Regiment? because this airborne unit has a black panther on their unit insignia.

I’ve seen a couple. But both were because they just wanted a panther painted black on their arm.
