How do I clean the hardrive on my powerbook G4?
July 31st, 2009 | by admin |I have a Powerbook G4 that runs on Mac OS X and I’m selling it, the problem is that I don’t know how to prepare it for sale.I have the 2 startup disks, and I’ve been having trouble connecting to the internet with it.I’m assuming once I can connect to the internet I can update it as well. What should I do?
Startup from the Install Disks, by inserting Disk 1, and restarting, and holding down the "C" key until the desktop comes up.
Use "Disk Utility" to erase & repair the internal Hard Drive.
Use the Install to reinstall the Operating System.
Hook up to the INet, and use Software Update to update the System.
Hope this helps.
