I must replace my PowerBook LCD, what is the difference between Titanium and Aluminum LCD screen?

October 8th, 2009 | by admin |

I dropped my laptop and my LCD isn’t working. I am looking at a couple of offers on eBay and I am quite confused what is the difference between Titanium and Aluminum LCDs. I have PowerBook G4, 15" laptop. Also, the laptop has this very subtle beeping noise, what could that be?
I did take it to Tekserve and they are overcharging me, I have someone who can install it for me but I must make the purchase soon.

i would take it to a repair shop in case you have more problems than just the screen

Aluminum is soft material and light weight but because it’s soft you can have easely scratches on it.
Titanium is hard material and also light weight so you don’t see scratches easely.
Now they use Titanium also to make camera’s and so because of the light weight and hard material, so Titanium is better than Aluminum.
