Why do I have colorful lines on my apple PowerBook G4 monitor?

May 25th, 2009 | by admin |

i have an apple PowerBook g4 titanium computer. This thing is old. roughly 8 years to be close… as of now, it has a line that switches from green to yellow randomly, and a bright red line. they are on the left part of the screen. Can anyone give me some advice?
Thx all!

it may just be dead pixels.
i think that's what happened with mine.

): bummer.

If the display is an LCD, it's most likely going bad.

Sounds like the screen is failing, but maybe just a loose cable inside, often re-seating the cable can cure this.

Don't know how hard it is to get into on a mac.

I have the 800mhz version and have not had this problem. It probably has something to do with the history of the laptop. Bad display manufacturing process probably. Mine has lasted forever and is still holding strong. Dont listen to the pc user. He obviously hasnt used a mac!!! :)
